Info: Originally from the mountains of Peru but also found in the colder climates of mountainous Mexico, this chilli is also known as Manzano meaing 'apple' in Spanish. It is the only chilli with black seeds and hairy stem and leaves. It is a beautiful vine-like plant, happy in cooler conditions once established. It can take a long time to reach maturity so benefits from over-wintering. It has a lovely flavour and good all-round heat.
